The Promise of an Angel: by Ruth Reid

I give this story five stars.  What an amazing story.  The title of the story sort of gives the main plot away.  Judith Fischer is responsible for her young brother when tragic strikes.  Upon this devastation she notices an Angel at her brother’s side.  When she confronts her friends, family, and community about this, they act as if she sinned.  The only person who believes her is someone who soon captures her heart.

What a great story, I loved how Ruth Reid used an angel in the story.  It brought the book to life, with a warming twist.  Not all Amish books come across as different, but this book does.  The inspiration and faith continues even when everyone seems to be against Judith.  I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Amish love stories.
